Driver
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Driver
Direct supervisor: Logistics Officer
Main objective
Under the supervision of the Logistics Officer, you will ensure the driving of the Regional team members following the needs. You will follow maintenance of the vehicles.
Hierarchical and functional links
The Driver reports hierarchically to the Logistics Officer and is in daily link with all the regional team members.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Driving MdM vehicles as per MdM driving policies
Follow up maintenance of the regional office’s vehicles
Passenger safety and security of transported materials/equipments
Adapting his/her behavior and driving to assure passengers' security, MDM equipment and the rest of road/ street users (drivers, pedestrians, etc.).
Always drive according to the Jordanian driving circulation code and respecting speed limits
Always wearing safety belt while driving and ensuring all passengers do the same
Ensuring having a valid driving license and always have it ready for any eventual inspection
Ensuring that all necessary documents are valid and renewed before the expiration date (yearly road safety check, registration of main drivers with Avis, etc.)
Maintenance of the vehicle
Checking on a regular basis all the vehicle's motor, oil level, breaks liquid, air pressure of wheels, wind shield liquid, etc.
Checking the maintain the log fuel book for MdM vehicles
Alerting direct supervisor in case of technical problem or need for maintenance
Organizing or if possible carrying out of any necessary maintenance after validation of direct supervisor
Ensuring the vehicle is clean on the inside and outside
Ensuring all necessary equipment and material is present in the vehicle and in good condition (tools, spare wheel, airlift, belts, ropes, etc.)
Refilling the fuel tank each time the tank is at ¼ of its capacity
Other Duties/ Responsibilities:
Participate in internal work meetings and inform MdM team on log issues
Report any security related issues to your supervisor
Supporting operational organization of field trips and MdM programs/activities
This job description is NOT limited to the listed tasks. Exercise flexibility
whenever called upon to assist in other tasks not mentioned.
NOTE:
The use of a MdM vehicle for personal reasons and without authorization of the direct supervisor
The driver will be personally responsible for paying any fines/tickets received while he/she was driving the MdM car.
This job description can be modified at any time according to changes in MDM activities or in the context with prior notice and agreement between the two parties. On demand of the direct supervisor, other tasks might be added to that present list.
